About Yneck

Yneck sells overstock. Sneakers, streetwear and merch that a retailer over-ordered, a season ended on, or an order got cancelled against — real product from real brands, bought as a lot and passed on at 30–40% below what it goes for elsewhere.

The name

There are two questions in that Y, and the second one is the one that actually named us.

The first is the one you ask at the register: why pay retail? Paying full price is a choice. Plenty of people quietly opt out of it — they hunt, they wait, they know the outlet and the pallet and the overstock channel. Most of retail treats those people like they are being difficult. We think they are the ones doing it right.

The second question is older and less polite: why stick your neck out? Because buying off-price has always carried a whiff of risk. The price that seems too good. The seller who gets vague when you ask where it came from. The box that turns up light. Chasing a bargain is supposed to be the reckless option, and plenty of people have been burned into never trying again.

So we took the phrase and turned it over. A Yneck is someone who sticks their neck out and comes back with the win — because by the time the thing reaches them, the risk has already been taken out of it. The comparison price is real. The sourcing is traceable. The condition is written down before you buy, flaws included.

Why risk your neck? You shouldn't have to. Taking the risk out of a good deal is the entire business — the wink in the name is just where we started.

How the pricing works

Every listing shows what the thing is worth beside what we charge. Where an item is still sold new, the comparison is the manufacturer's retail price. Where it's discontinued, it's the top of the band the item has actually sold for — sold, never asking prices, because an asking price is a wish and using one would inflate the claim into a lie.

We don't invent a “was” price and we don't run fake countdowns. If there's no honest comparison to draw, the listing shows one price and no strikethrough.

What we don't do

No replicas, no counterfeits, no goods we can't trace. Overstock is a real supply chain and we buy inside it. That is not a moral position so much as a practical one: the whole proposition falls over the moment a single lot isn't what we said it was.
